DAO: Lockpicking

Description

Seems DA didn't want me to upload anything today but fortunately my hubby was here and helped me to solve the problem.

Anyway there's a short strip for today (I'm not sure if I'll be able to upload another one). I was trying to finish my entries for several contests and challenges but somehow I was blocked, I kept staring at the screen and the colors never seemed right, so I decided to change and do a strip and hey! They still work!

This one is quite recent. I was re-playing RedCliffe again with my modded Yllwenn, and this time as I used the Zevran ASAP mod, I could have him in the party (first time I played he wasn't there yet, since this is the first quest I usually choose). There are some chests in RedCliffe quite tricky to lockpick, so as soon as I reached a new level I gave Yllwenn a third point in this skill. Anyway, one of the chests still didn't work. Funnyly, both Zevran and Leliana keeped saying they could help me as soon as Yllwenn's skill's failed and one of the times I let Zevran try just for the fun. Of course, he wasn't able to open it either (how could he? Yllwenn had 3 and he had only 2 points).

It reminded me something that happened to me ages ago, one of the very first times I took my car to go out a Friday night (I was barely 20). I spent some hours out with a friend and when I came back to take the car we realized one of the wheels had a puncture. My father had taught me how to change a wheel, so I just started to do it. But a couple of boys saw us (two girls, alone, trying to change a wheel) and ran to offer their help. They had absolutely NO idea about how to change a wheel so they lost pieces, made a complete mess and of course, got on my nerves, but I bet they thought they were being perfect gentlemen and we, poor young girls, would be terribly grateful.

Just to compare, two years ago I had a puncture again. It was a dark and rainy December afternoon, more or less at 5, my car was full with the month's purchases from the Supermarket and I had to stop, alone, in front of a Police station in a quite crowded avenue. I definitely could have used some help that time. Nobody, not even the police, cared to stop or even ask what had happened XD. That's the difference between being 20 and being 40, my friends XD
