Description

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING!!! This comic is so full of sugar diabetic people may be affected! So if you don't want to read anything utterly romantic... please skip it!!!...

Too late?

Oh, well...

MORE SERIOUS WARNING: Surely you have already played Awakening or at least know what it is about but... I'm going to tell lots of spoilers here so if you dont' want to read them, don't go ahead.

Now...

I've been wanting to post this comic during all the week but never had the time to edit it (an awfull work week, believe me!). But when I finished my Awakening Playthrough, on last week's Monday, I felt soooo sad, tired and empty, that the small Yllwenn who lives in my head really really needed a hug from her lover. I mean, killing the Mother was for me even harder than killing the Archdemon. I lost most of the party (only Sigrun was unharmed, and I couldn't find Nathaniel's corpse to revive it using Anders' magic) and there were a couple of moments I really thought I'd have to reload. So when everything ended... and I read that lame epilogue, I really knew I had to make my own ending.

So I started a "serious" drawing. Something in the line of my eternally WIP "Under the Antivan Sun", in which Yllwenn would find her beloved Zevran waiting for her at the gates of what remained of Vigil Keep and give him a long, long tight hug. Because I can't believe that, as soon as he would receive the latest news from Amaranthine, he wouldn't come back and see if the Warden was safe. At least that's what happened in my mind.

But then I had a "conversation" with :iconfool-moon: about the strenght and the level my rogue had reached at the end of Awakening, and suddenly the comic version of the scene got into my mind, the "serious" drawing got completely abandoned and the comic strip was drawn in a single afternoon. And I'm quite proud of it, to be honest. I've re-used some resources, like the ones I used at my "Road to Redcliffe" strip, but now I used better stuff to draw and ink it, have a little more experience and... even if I know it can be better, I think I achieved quite well what I wanted to show.

Ah, and poor Zevran suffers again. The "Torturing Zevran" fan club should be satisfied one more time ;P

(Sorry for the long explanation... I'm on talkative mood today)

PS: My first Awakening comic and new template to show it's related to a different part of the game... if you didn't notice.

Edited to correct a lot of typos and add some special effects...

Another note: Somebody is making this fangirl's dreams come true:

EDITED AGAIN: Please have a look at this amazing written piece by :iconwirls: :

Epilogue: A Dragon Age Fan FicThe ground was jagged and broken beneath his feet as he walked through the remains of what used to be Vigil's Keep.  Volunteers could be seen lifting stones here and there, still trying to find survivors in the rubble.  He wondered how anyone could have survived such destruction.  Plumes of smoke could be seen in the distance as funeral pyres were being lit.  How could he have left her to this?  It was his fault, he should have joined her. That way he could have protected her.  He was determined to find her and if she had been taken from this world, to give her a hero's burial. It was the least he could do for he

It depicts Zevran's search before meeting Yllwenn at the gates and OMG, I couldn't but drop a tear reading it. It deserves to be read. Thanks so much!!!!
